See HUD Handbook 1378-Tenant Assistance, Relocation, and Real Property Acquisition for HUD policy and guidance .
General Overview
- URA applies – If the demolition or disposition is part of a project involving HUD funds, other than Section 18 disposition proceeds
- URA does not apply – Demolition or disposition under Section 18 of the 1937 Act, if the project does not use HUD funds, these actions are instead covered by relocation provisions at 24 CFR Part 970.21
